First reason is that the format is dreadful. These books seem to be converted from Kindle, and what remains is barely readable. Second, the topic is so horrible. But if it's true that the CIA is now using the Phoenix crap on the US, I may have to bite the bullet and tackle it.<br /><br />I located this book on my own a few weeks ago when I was searching for <i>Lords of Creation.</i> Given my packrat instincts these days, I saved them all except for the one about Big Crime and Football. <br /><br />For the most part these will be set aside for reference, and as a reminder to watch for affordable copies in hard copy. <br /><br />One recent search which has turned up completely empty is the one for Joseph Jeffries' <i>Palestine: The Reality</i>. Recent events in Gaza caused me to start reading about the topic of Zionism, and as I followed footnotes and bibliography entries, this book began to look like one I ought to examine. Problem is, somebody has scarfed up every copy - I could find none for sale anywhere in the world <i>at any price.</i> <br /><br />When books go missing like that, there is generally a good reason. It may be a long while before I find out the 'why' of this one.Zachary Smithnoreply@blogger.com
